A major restaurant chain eliminating foods containing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) was sure to be controversial. Chipotle Mexican Grill continues to get pilloried in mainstream and social media, accused of shrugging off the views of most scientists who say that foods that contain GMOs are generally safe to eat.
