"Our Land, our Future, our Europe -The regions of Europe have the right to determine their own ways of farming, eating, producing and selling food and of protecting their environment and landscapes, their culture and heritage, their seed, their rural development, their economic future. This includes the right to decide about the use of genetically modified plants and animals in their agriculture and ecosystems," starts the Berlin Manifesto 2005 adopted by 190 participants of the first European GMO-FREE Regions Conference in January 2005.Ten years later, NGOs and scientists, 64 regional governments and the business association "Danube Soya" jointly organized the Conference GMO-FREE EUROPE Future Opportunities and Challenges.

We were proud to host this 10th anniversary conference again in Berlin which brought together more than 400 participants from 60 countries around the world. We would like to thank all speakers and participants for a rich and fruitful debate and for their enchanting spirit.
