A2 - Saturday 14:30 - 16:30
In 2006, GMO crop planting could take place in Spain, France, Germany, Romania, the Czech Republic and perhaps Portugal. The workshop will bring together practical information on the companies involved, varieties and potential acreage planned for GMO planting. It will explore the political context and positions of national and regional organisations, support and resistance amongst the farmers and discusses the activities of different players at local, regional and national levels, including possible joint trans-regional activities and strategies to prevent the cultivation of GMO crops in Europe.
