The EU GMO legislation has not yet been completed but is already quite a labyrinth of directives, regulations, national implementation, standing committees and decision making processes. An overview and an outlook on upcoming approvals, legislation and policies will be given and discussed with special regard to the regional needs and implementation aspects.
